Description
The various Faculties of the Bauhaus University are spread throughout the whole of Weimar. Our Masterplan for the Architectural Faculty defines the location of 13 new buildings, the vehicular and pedestrian access and the open spaces. The formal grid of the new buildings was projected into the surrounding spaces. The area was then divided into smaller building - related courtyards. Four main paths connect the complete complex and terminate in a large central space. All these spaces offer access and ’sanctuary’ for he users and the various uses spaces are defined by characteristic paving materials.
